Animations
In Alpha 1's files are animations for the copper key and lockpick that may have interacted with the copper lock on the basement door.
Blueprints
CAR_DRIVE
BP_Fork
Other Floors
Unfortunately, the staircase to the third floor of the Neighbor's house is obstructed by various objects and is completely inaccessible. The third, fourth, fifth and sixth floors were not completed due to the scrapping of the Alpha 1 house.
Based on a concept floor plan of the Alpha 1 house, the entire house was to be explorable and all the floors were to feature many different rooms and puzzles.
The following rooms should have been on each of the incomplete floors:
Third floor (not in the game)
- Water room
- Depot
- Mannequin room
- Kitchen
- Cabinet
- Safe
- Room with conveyor
- Combat room
- Hospital ward
Fourth floor (not in the game)
- Room with an electronic magnet
- Bedroom
- Bathroom
- Revolving room
Fifth floor (not in the game)
- Zero gravity room (lower section)
- Attic
Sixth floor (not in the game)
- Zero gravity room (upper section)
- Fire room
Objects
Garage Remote
An unused garage remote model can be found in Alpha 1's files. It is a small remote that would have been able to open and close the garage door from a distance.
Fire Extinguisher
An unused fire extinguisher model can be found in Alpha 1's files. It was planned to be used in Alpha 1 to extinguish fires on the sixth floor of the Neighbor's house.
Umbrella
In Alpha 1's files is an untextured umbrella model that was planned to be implemented but never was. It might have had the same function as the umbrellas in Alpha 4 and onwards.
Generator
Two unused generators are present in Alpha 1. One can be found under the Neighbor's house, near the boiler room, and the other one is part of the objects obstructing the staircase to the third floor. In an early screenshot of Alpha 1, the same generator can be seen in the bathroom.
Player Model
In Alpha 1, the player had no model or shadow. You can find a player model with unique arms and the Neighbor's body, but no head, in the Hello Neighbor Mod Kit files. It is presumably this player model which also served as an early test model for Nicky's animations in Alpha 2.
Pause Menu
A hidden pause menu can be discovered by pressing the M key while in-game in Alpha 1 to 3. The menu is in English, and supports the mouse to an extent. However, only "Continue" works as Settings and Save and Quit seem to be dysfunctional. Trying to save the settings does nothing as the graphics are instead decided by a wizard before starting or after completion of the alpha. The graphics menu lists resolutions from 720p to 1080p, none of which are selectable in the startup settings. Of note is that the Advanced Options menu lists all options as always being at Low, and they are reset to this value upon leaving. The pause menu became less and less functional with each update until it was replaced with a different menu in Alpha 4.
Rifle Range Level 2
The rifle range in Alpha 1 was unfinished, allowing you to get the silver key no matter how many times you shoot the targets, but it wouldn't give you any of the other rewards. Inside the files though lays leftovers of a "Level 2" for the rifle range. This contained a "Mirror" and "Pride". The "Pride" of which has no texture but has a model. The "Mirror" is fully modeled and textured.
Train Function
The train in Alpha 1 may have been planned to be operated by the player as there is a seat and controls inside of it.
Enlarged Cursor
Alpha 1 was going to have a bigger cursor that would become enlarged and brighter when over pickable objects. The feature is present in the Pre-Release Alpha 1.
