Generator
The Generator is an important object in Hello Neighbor.
Description
The generator is used to power things in the game. It is used to power gates or power the fridge in Act 3. The new one looks like a cartoonish machine. The old one looks like a realistic portable generator. In Hello Neighbor 2 it looks a bit more realistic than in Act 3, and can be picked up. It is packed in a box when picked up. If you put it in the proper position and hold the LMB for about 5 seconds, you will place the generator. A wire is required to plug into the generator, allowing you to power an object.

Alpha 4
In the closet room and the stop for the train that is connected to the elevator.
Beta 1
Same as Alpha 4.
Beta 2
Same as Beta 1 and Alpha 4.
Beta 3

Act 1

Act 2
There are no generators in Act 2.

Trivia
- When it was first added in a functional state in Alpha 2, it would shut off after a short period of time. This would close back the hidden wall when it was used to open it. This was changed in Alpha 3, which made it stay on indefinitely when turned on.
- The generator seen under the map in Alpha 1 is likely a leftover from an early promotional screenshot of Alpha 1, in which it was seen in the bathroom. This is further supported by the generator under the map being near the bathroom.
- The wire of the generator seen on top of the hanging room in Alpha 3 goes up to the room where the train stop by the elevator would be located in Alpha 4 and onwards. Despite this, the wire connects to nothing and cuts off after going through the window, rendering the generator useless. It is unknown what this generator would've been used for.
