The Kettle is an important object in Hello Neighbor and Hello Neighbor 2.
Description
Hello Neighbor
The kettle can be used for getting into the basement in Act 3. It can be used to get the keycard, one of the three objects required to access the basement.
From Pre-Alpha to Alpha 1, it looks like a traditional red kettle.
In Alpha 2, the look of the kettle changed. It is now taller and decorated with white polka dots. In Beta 3 you can find a new one belonging to Nicky Roth. In the full game, the same one is in Nicky Roth's House, but blue with polka dots. They have since acquired the same function as that of a watering can.
Hello Neighbor 2
In Hello Neighbor 2 Alpha 1, the appearance of the kettle was changed again. Now it is needed to distract The Guest. To do this, you need to take the kettle and click it on the stove. After a few seconds, the kettle will boil, thereby attracting the attention of The Guest. Once the kettle has boiled, it will not be able to pick up for a while, as it will be hot.
Usage
Hello Neighbor
The kettle is mainly used to melt the keycard out of the block of ice in the freezer. First, you must fill it with water. Then put it on the stove in the Mr. Peterson's House, and turn the stove on. When the kettle is red-hot, pick it up and open the freezer. Then, use left click to sprinkle boiling water onto the block of ice containing the keycard. When the keycard is barely sticking out of the ice block, it can be obtained when the cursor enlarges on top of it.

In Pre-Alpha, one kettle is in the kitchen, one on a top of a television, and one on top of Nicky Roth's Car.

In Alpha 1, a kettle is in the kitchen

In Alpha 2, one kettle is on top of the furnace in the bedroom, and one is in the kitchen.
Alpha 3
In Alpha 3, a kettle is in the kitchen.

Beta 1 - 2
Nothing has changed with it's location.
Beta 3
- Can be found in the kitchen.

- A new one can be found in a box near Nicky Roth's House.
Full Game
- New one can be found in Act 1 in Nicky Roth's House painted in blue with white peas.
- Can be found in Act 1 in the kitchen.
- Can be found in the same place in Act 2 in the kitchen.
In Act 3, in the same places as in previous versions.
Hello Guest Alpha 1
Can be found in the security building.
Hello Neighbor 2 Alpha 1
You can find a few in Mr. Peterson's House in the kitchen.
Trivia
- The kettle can be heated on the stove in the kitchen, as well as: watering can, crowbar, and bucket.
