The Combination Lock or Keypad, is an important object in Hello Neighbor Pre-Alpha and Hello Neighbor 2.

Description

Hello Neighbor Pre-Alpha

In Pre-Alpha, the combination lock acts as a locking mechanism for the basement door. Is a metal panel with numbers in which you need to enter a certain sequence of numbers. The combination lock has 10 digits: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 0.

To unlock it in Pre-Alpha, you need to find a code, which is not easy to get. In order to find this code, you will require the ultraviolet lamp that can be found in either the bathroom or bedroom. Then you’ll need to find the code itself, which is written in invisible ink behind a crookedly hung painting. When the player discovers the code, it will be seen in this sequence: 4785. Then, you need to enter this code and the combination lock will be unlocked.

In Alpha 1 (Hello Neighbor), the combination lock was removed.

Hello Neighbor 2

In Hello Neighbor 2 Alpha 1, the combination lock was reintroduced with a cartoonish look and has only 9 digits: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 .8, and 9. To unlock it, you need to know the code.

Before version 1.0.1.0, the code was the same: 3841. But with version 1.0.1.0 the code is now randomly generated, and to find out it, you need to put the security camera in the place where the combination lock will be clearly seen. Then you need to find and start (clicking E) on the alarm clock, then throw it through the window into the room, where the children room used to be and look at the Drone display. The Guest should go to the door and enter the code, which will be clearly visible on the lock.

Trivia

  • In Pre-Alpha, when you start the game, the basement door will be slightly open, there will be a bright red glow coming out of it. The lock and the wooden board will not be on the door. If you approach the door, The Neighbor will catch you. After that, the basement door will be closed completely with the lock, the board, and the combination lock. While the player has not yet been caught by the Neighbor in the intro, it is still possible to enter the code onto the combination lock. If you do this, it will remain unlocked for the rest game.
  • In the trailer for Hello Neighbor 2 Alpha 1, near the door, where the location for the lock normally is, is not there.
