Windmills are structures that feature on Mr. Peterson's house in Hello Neighbor, Secret Neighbor, and Hello Neighbor: Search and Rescue.

Description

Hello Neighbor

Alpha 3

The windmill in Alpha 3

A windmill first appeared in Alpha 3, being part of Mr. Peterson's house, which itself was the first draft of the final house.

Alpha 4 - Beta 2

In Alpha 4, the windmill was altered. It became much larger and more disproportional, and a platform was added to the top of it. A hatch was placed at the base of the windmill to access its mechanism. If the player threw an object into the mechanism, the windmill would stop working.

Beta 3 - Full Game

In Beta 3, tomato plants were placed around the base of the windmill, preventing the player from climbing it and accessing the mechanism. A ladder was added which lead to the platform at the top. In Beta 3, the seed for the Golden Apple tree was located in a wooden crate on the platform.

In the full game, in Act 3, the player must climb the windmill to retrieve one of the mannequins needed for the birthday room puzzle. The mannequin is located on the platform at the top. To do this, the player must use the red phonograph to shrink the tomato plants surrounding the base of the windmill.

Secret Neighbor

In Secret Neighbor, a modified version of the windmill from Alpha 3 appears atop of Mr. Peterson's house.
