The Forest Protectors are an urban legend in the town of Raven Brooks, first appearing in the Books, and then appearing in Hello Neighbor 2 and the Animated Series

Description

The rumor and talk of the town, local legends of humanoid bird creatures, with beaks and clawed hands, building nests in the forests and drinking the blood of the young. But, there are no truth to these rumors, the Forest Protectors are actually just robed towns-folk, and it seems the entire town is in on it.

Obsessed with the Storms around the town, and the mythical creature only known as the Visitor.

Overview (Books)

The Forest Protectors are a cult inside Raven Brooks, dressed as Ravens and believing in the mystery of the storms around Raven Brooks after Roger and Adelle Peterson's work was discontinued.

After the Petersons were arrested, later on Gordon Cleave joined Channel 4 News to uncover the mysteries of Raven Brooks' unique weather, that seemed to only occur at the town only.

When the construction began with the Golden Apple Amusement Park, Gordon Cleave seeked an orb-shaped Weather Sensor that will be a key component in the rituals of The Forest Protectors on the storms, when Aaron and Mya Peterson began to interfere, they vandalized the Golden Apple Amusement Park, spraying Omen and Cursed all over, telling them to stay out of their way...

But when a huge misunderstanding occurred between Aaron, Norman Darby, Gordon and Aaron's dad, Gordon Cleave got the real Weather Sensor and gathered the Ravens near the Observatory to begin the ceremony. Trinity Bales managed to get photos of Gordon Cleave and Dale Tapps unmasked and fled before a fire caught the Golden Apple Amusement Park and the Underground Tunnels, with the Device under the tunnels, Aaron attempted to grab it but went unconscious from the smoke.

The Forest Protectors were supposedly disbanded when Cleave and Tapps were arrested for the murder of Ike and terrorizing Raven Brooks.

Trivia

The Forest Protectors have been part of the town for a while, dating back at least to the 1960's and still being present in Reset Day, questioning Piper Tillman’s mom.
The Guest is not a forest protector, but still wears a raven-like suit, but it could be that The Guest has some connection with them.
They were very likely inspired by the Plague Doctors.
Hello Neighbor 2 was the first game to include the Forest Protectors
They were the reason Lucy died in the Rotten Core Accident instead of Mya, due to a miscalculation, they got Lucy instead of Mya.
