Lucy Yi is a character who made her debut in the novel Missing Pieces, and has since appeared in Secret Neighbor.
Story
In the summer of 1992, a ride in the Golden Apple Amusement park caused the death of 7-year-old Lucy Yi. It was a tragic day. While the court of public opinion has already judged Theodore Masters Peterson harshly for the part he played in the creation of the faulty Rotten Core rollercoaster, a State court ruling found that sole responsibility for the death of Lucy Yi rested with the Golden Apple Corporation, who owned and operated the site.
However, the hard facts of the case provided Norway you Piper few conclusive answers. Young Ms. Yi lost her life when the cars of the Rotten Core ride careened out of control, but investigators could not determine whether an electrical malfunction or a base structural design flaw caused the crash. And when the remains of the roller coaster burned to the ground in a fit of mob outrage at the site, all other evidence was lost.
At only seven years old, Lucy Yi had made her mark on the town for her innovative co-founding of the Golden Apple Young Inventors Club and was beloved by classmates and school teachers as a bright, cheerful presence.
Appearance
Lucy Yi has pale skin, straight black hair that lays a few inches below her shoulders, Almond shaped brown eyes, and a round face.
Personality
Lucy Yi was a kind young girl, who in Aaron's words was a "weirdly smart elementary-schooler." Lucy was an "Extracurricular queen" who's name was on nearly every scoreboard or membership roster.
