The Book is a useless object in Hello Neighbor.
Description
Prototype and Pre-Alpha
The book first appeared in the Prototype. In Pre-Alpha the book can be viewed more closely. The book is the drama of Johann Wolfgang Goethe - 'Faust'. Faust is a German legend about a man who exchanges his soul to the devil for infinite knowledge and pleasure. The Neighbor has multiple copies of it in his house and the book may have had more significance in the scrapped storylines.
The Faust book was removed in Alpha 1.
Alpha 2 - Full Game
The book returned in Alpha 2 and has been changed into the new art style. The book became more cartoony and the Faust title was removed. The book was divided into three types: red, brown and blue. Red books are quite short, with one black stripe and yellow shape with a black outline. Blue books have two black stripes in a white shape with a blue outline. Brown books have three black stripes in a yellow worn circle and are the thinnest.
Alpha 4 introduced a new book. The cover has a computer and a white box at the top which says "HACKBOY9000 8BRYAN". The book is a reference to the popular YouTuber 8-BitRyan.
