Act 2 is one of the acts of the game Hello Neighbor 2. It is a side quest and is not required to complete the entire game.

Story

Journalist Quentin finds a collapsed/unfinished (?) passage and finds a huge dark forest there. There is a large sawmill there, where The Guest lives . Quentin decides to take the boards with him and go on a minecart along the rails and finds a cemetery with a church . There he makes his way higher and higher and reaches the very top with a bell . He turns the valve , which pulls the rope and the bell breaks. It breaks through the floor on the first floor. Quentin makes his way there and finds himself in the catacombs. Having solved the puzzles there, he makes his way into the crypt , where mannequins of Diane and Mya Peterson emerge from the walls . They hug Quentin, after which they return to their place, and Quentin loses consciousness.

Walkthrough

Note : Many locations can be reached in different ways, as well as the game can be completed in different ways, but only one way will be written here.

After you appear in the forest, go to the building that is closest to the player (most likely a guard booth). There you will find a hammer , a crowbar , a fuse and a generator. Insert the fuse into the generator slot to turn on the mechanism you need on the sawmill ( crane , sawmill or minecart ). After that, to make the sawmill work, you need to turn on the switch that will be near the front door. You must definitely take a hammer and boards, which will be in boxes in almost every room.

You can make planks yourself by processing logs. To process them, you first need to activate the crane. Nearby there will be a building with a large slide for rolling logs. There will be a lever, you need to press it and the logs will roll down. Then go straight ahead, enter the crane control room. There will be crane control levers, turn them until the large aiming beam is exactly on the log, and grab it with a claw. Take the log and put it on the conveyor nearby. Next, activate the sawmill. Go to it and hold down the lever, the log will be processed and become a pile of planks and go into the mine cart. The sawmill can only hold three logs at a time.

Activate the cart and go to it, the gate will also open. There will be levers on the cart, red - forward, blue - back. Get in the cart and go in any direction, the main thing is to get to the church . But the Guest can catch you even in the cart and to do this, just put the boards vertically on the sides of the cart from the inside. Also, sometimes there will be barriers on the way. Just press the lever in the booth and it will rise.

And so we arrived at the church. Having entered it, you can close the door with a bolt, then the Guest will not enter, although even if he does, he will not be able to get high. Next, you will need to build bridges from superstructure to superstructure. Climb the "structure" to the right of the entrance and build a bridge of planks to get to the other side. Although in many places you need very few planks. Build a bridge to the structure and climb up there. Next, build a bridge to another beam with a lifting cradle. It is better to lower the cradle, since such elevators work as checkpoints. Next, build a bridge over the hole in the roof and on the other side, climb the stairs on the wall. From the protruding pieces of wood, build a path to a part of the roof frame. Then you can either jump to each part yourself, or also build paths. Go into the hole in the wall, there will be an elevator and planks. Build a path to the platform above. From there, jump to the beam and climb up. Then just follow the road. When you reach the end, you need to somehow climb up to the bell. It is not known how to do it correctly, but you can use boxes. Jump to the other side and turn the valve. The bell will fall and break the floor on the first floor.

There will be a passage to the catacombs in the hole. Dig up the ground with a shovel and move on. Next, take the barrel and put it on the pressure plate, then enter the room that opens and throw a stone from there so that the barrel falls. The passage to the first room will close and the third will open. Place the barrel in the place with a red glow. Another passage will open. Follow it, at the end dig up the ground with a shovel and climb up. Enter the crypt and the act will end.

After completing the player is teleported to where he finished completing Act 1.

Trivia

  • If you know how to get to each place, don't saw logs at the beginning of the game, etc., then this act can be completed in 10-20 minutes on average.
  • Act 2 is not a sequel, as it is a side quest. Although it also has its own ending and may have a sequel, it does not tie in with the ending of Act 1. Most likely, its events take place in between Act 1.
