The Lucy Yi Event

The Lucy Yi Event was an event that took place in Secret Neighbor. It was added along with the Paranormal Update on October 27th, 2021. It was a hunt throughout the maps for items belonging to Lucy Yi. This page shows how to do it and how the community figured it out.

Lucy's Bracelet

Lucy's Bracelet was the first trophy found by the community. It was in the fourth map, "Missing or Wanted?", which was updated for the event. In Aaron's room, there was a hole in a painting, which led to an attic. Using the Ghost Neighbor, you can phase through the wall to the other side, and there is a pink box that's locked. The key for the box spawns like a regular key, but the difference is how it looks. It is a small key with a heart-shaped handle and is solid yellow. Once you get it, toss it through the hole in the painting. Ghost back into the room, and you should be able to unlock the box. Inside is a bracelet, which disappears once you pick it up, and it ends up in your "Treasures" tab on the main menu.

The Hamster Ball

Lucy had a hamster, Gerard, who's plastic ball can be found on the third map, "The Storm is Coming". On the right side of the house, you can find a set of vents near the fence. Go through the vents with the Ghost Neighbor and look for the Hamster ball. It should also disappear and go to your "Treasures" tab.

Lucy's Violin

Lucy Yi's Violin is the hardest of the first three trophies to get. It involves speed, logic, and two players. Around the maps were sets of poems in the mixed-up language, and one was:

"Heat can, heat can, can can blast. Capture treasure, but be fast. Soot and ash and that's okay, Chimneys always work that way."

It seemed like improper grammar at first, but ClassicJrb, a moderator in the Hello Neighbor Games Discord server, said that maybe it could mean "can can blast" as in you can blast a can, so we tried using the Map 2 fireplace after randomuser dug through the files and noticed that map's fireplace had a burst trigger, and we noticed the chimney was clogged in that same map. Once ClassicJrb said to try throwing tuna cans into the fire, due to "heat can", it was smooth sailing from there. You have to have one person as ghost neighbor on the chimney, and a player throwing the cans into the fire. We knew it was specifically tuna cans after GavinK tried Classic's suggestion and the can exploded in the fire. To do it properly, you need a ghost neighbor to fly to the chimney, and as soon as the person at the fireplace throws in the can, the neighbor needs to time their grabbing so that they get the violin from the chimney exit before it despawns. The violin should be added to your treasures after that.
