Keith Newsom, known originally as Officer Nielsen, is a character in Hello Neighbor 2.
An officer of the Raven Brooks Police Department, Newsom is the first AI the player encounters in Hello Neighbor 2, patrolling Theodore Peterson's old house.
Description
Not much is known about Newsom, other than he is one of two police officers.
According to Nikita Kolesnikov, Newsom loves his job and has lived in Raven Brooks his whole life. He's been a police officer ever since he finished the police academy. He is close to being retired from the department. He keeps his uniform perfect, loves donuts, and loves to work with his partner, Leslie Kornwell.
Appearance
Newsom has a bushy brown mustache and brown hair. He has a dark blue officer hat and a green jacket with a badge and radio on it. He has a light blue shirt and black pants.
Artificial Intelligence
Hello Neighbor 2 Beta
Newsom is mostly seen in the living room, investigating the basement door. Occasionally, He would go right next to the TV to eat donuts. The player can easily distract him with the patrol car's sirens to allow the player to enter the basement door without him stopping you.
Hello Neighbor 2
In hello neighbor 2 he will stand outside patrolling Mr. Peterson's house. Once he sees you even if you're not inside, he will look at you curiously and will walk whatever direction your going to until you get out of his way.

- Newsom was first found in the novel Missing Pieces.
- His first name was confirmed by tinyFox on Discord.
- Newsom helps Leslie work on missing children cases. This is seen in the Neighbor Games Discord story, Gone Missing.
- Despite his actual age never being confirmed, it was confirmed that he is the eldest of the 2 police officers, being older than Leslie.
- His last name was originally Nielsen, with he and Leslie's names being a reference to actor Leslie Nielsen, who starred in multiple movies in The Naked Gun franchise.
- The patrol car he and Leslie drive is modeled after a 1974 Dodge Monaco.
