Jinx is a gray cat from the Hello Neighbor Book Series. He is a neighborhood cat who loves annoying neighborhood dogs, and is seen as a friend by Aaron Peterson. Aaron believes that both him and the cat are unlucky people living in an unlucky world, and that they strongly relate with each other.
Gray cats in literature symbolize the need for peace and freedom, which Aaron gets when talking to Jinx. Jinx was also how Nicky met Aaron, by directing Nicky towards the Peterson house in the beginning of Missing Pieces.
